Donations are to help keep the legacy of John Shippen alive and to assist African American youth(s) through The John Shippen Memorial Golf Foundation Scholarship Program.

Annual scholarships are awarded to high school graduating students who demonstrate an interest and skill in golf, accepted in an accredited university/college, and/or pursuing a career in golf.
